It was written by Frances H. Burnett. The hiroine is Mary Lennox.She is 10 years old and she has lived in India since her parents died of sickness. After that she moved to his uncle's house in England. Mr. Craven, Mary's uncle, has been not happy because of his wife's dead. One day, Mary knew there is the closed garden which had been loved by Mrs. Craven. Mary is interested in it and try to find a way to go into the garden.
It has 133 pages. But I felt it is not so long because it was really interesting story. Mary is very cute and attractive. I like her and I'm sure that people will like her if they read it.

There's an old movie of this story which is really sweet. It is a lovely story.
